2017 Kia Niro First Drive Review

The Niro hybrid is the first in an oncoming barrage of high efficiency vehicles from Kia. With combined fuel economy numbers ranging from 43 to 50 MPG, the Niro is the most efficient vehicle in it’s class whether you want to call it a crossover or an upright hatchback. Inside you’ll find passenger room comparable to the RAV4 and a cargo area similarly sized to a full-size sedan and enough head and legroom for four adults to sit comfortably. Sadly Kia sacrificed AWD on the altar of efficiency, so if all-wheel traction is a must have for you, you’ll need to shop elsewhere. For the rest of us the Niro is a well-priced and fun to drive vehicle with a compelling price tag and a long warranty.
