Unlike most hybrids on the market, Ford’s new Explorer Hybrid for 2020 was designed specifically with towing in mind. With 5,000 pounds of towing ability and rear wheel drive, this is now the three-row crossover unicorn some of you have been looking for. In addition to electrifying Ford’s most popular CUV, the hybrid system is interesting for a different reason: we’ll probably be seeing this system in a pickup truck soon. The downside? At the moment it’s available only in the expensive Limited trim.
