Today, Cadillac has provided further details on the 2023 Escalade-V. It will be available in both standard and ESV long-wheelbase formats, something not quite expected initially. Both body styles are going to be able to hit 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. This is thanks to a 6.2L supercharged V8 pumping out a brand-leading 682 horsepower. That is only 14 more than in the CT5-V Blackwing, and of course this is a much heavier vehicle. The standard V8 Escalade already weighs up to nearly two tons, so expect this one to be even porkier. Even so, 4.4 seconds is no slouch and is due in part to the standard AWD system, which can direct power either 50/50 between front and rear axles, or 33/66 in Sport mode. It gets six-piston Brembo brakes in the front, Cadillac’s Magnetic Ride Control, and Air Ride Adaptive Suspension with stiffer rear springs.
Inside, there is a V-Mode button that immediately adjusts all driving variables to their most serious settings. Drivers can also individually adjust these dynamics like in the CT4/5-V Blackwing. The Escalade-V sits more than an inch closer to the ground than the standard model. Active exhaust is here, too. The interior is trimmed in Zebra Wood decor with semi-aniline leather on all three rows, with heated, ventilated and massaging front seats. All of this doesn’t come cheap, however. The quickest full-size SUV ever will start at around $150k and will be built in limited quantites.
