2024 Chevy Traverse Spied With Less Camouflage

Motor1 has shared spy photos of the third-generation Chevy Traverse with less camouflage than ever before. This gives us a much better look at the front and side of the Traverse, though thicker camo covering the tailgate makes its design more difficult to discern. For the most part, though, the details are there, and they are interesting. Starting up front, the grille shares the same architecture as the Colorado pickup. The split headlight design from that model will give the Traverse a unique look, though this type of lighting array isn’t novel in this segment (think Hyundai Palisade).

On the side, a run-of-the-mill daylight opening is met with a C-pillar that Chevy decided spice up a bit. Similar to what Kia has done with its most recent designs, the metal portion of the C-pillar only rises about three quarters of the way up, filling the gap with glass to blend the passenger window and third row window into one. The rear end looks more mundane, but again, the details are more difficult to make out. What do we know about powertrains so far? Well, nothing much so far. The most prominent rumor is that the V6 will be replaced by the 2.7L turbo 4-cylinder in the new Colorado. It replaced that model’s V6 as well, and we found it to be plenty plowerful in that application. Expect 310 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft. of torque to come standard, unless Chevy also decides to offer the detuned sub-300 horsepower version. We’ll just have to wait and see…
