Production 2024 Cadillac Celestiq Unveiled

The 2024 Cadillac CELESTIQ represents the American luxury brand’s first attempt at going Bentley hunting. With a starting price of around $300,000 (the official starting price has not been finalized yet), the CELESTIQ is a hand-built, bespoke Ultium-powered electric sedan. It has a very different design under the floor from other big-battery Ultium vehicles, however. Its battery cells are arranged horizontally instead of vertically to give the car its long and low proportions. This is a large sedan in every sense of the word. Its overall length bests even the Escalade, and its rear overhang houses a massive rear cargo area that is accessed by a top-mounted rear hatch. You could go so far as to say it is more of a shooting brake or wagon than a typical sedan.

In regards to what motivates such a prestigious electric Cadillac, the CELESTIQ will have *only* 600 horsepower and 640 lb.-ft. of torque from a dual-motor setup that’s powered by a 111-kWh Ultium battery pack. Cadillac says 0-60 mph will take this land yacht 3.8 seconds and allow the CELESTIQ to continue on for a range of more than 300 miles. You can charge it at a max rate of 200 kW when plugged into a DC fast charging system, allowing for 78 miles of range to be added in 10 minutes.

The CELESTIQ will be so exclusive that buyers will be part of a nearly 10 month process to meticulously craft their car with just about any sort of customization they can think of. “The client’s journey is fully bespoke, with a highly personalized experience led by their chosen CELESTIQ dealer in collaboration with a one-on-one concierge to guide them, as well as access to a Cadillac designer and exclusive services. This process will be meticulously curated to forge a unique relationship between Cadillac, the client and their CELESTIQ through the Custom Commissioned build process.”

No more than six vehicles will be in the built at the Global Technical Center in Warren, Michigan at one time. Production begins next December .More on the Cadillac CELESTIQ here.
