2022 Toyota Tundra i-Force Max Hybrid First Drive

Everyone anticipated the new 2022 Tundra Hybrid. What we didn’t expect was a twin-turbo V6 and a real 10-speed automatic under the hood. Power jumps 48 horsepower and 104 lb.-ft. of torque over the gas model, but the added components increase curb weight. How much this affects fuel economy and performance remains to be seen. Is the hybrid i-FORCE MAX the best powertrain for the Tundra, or does it disappoint? Let’s find out.
